Providing Chiropractic Care in Grandville

Experiencing pain in your lower back?

Research suggests that 8 out of 10 adults will experience lower back problems at some point in their lives. Most of the symptoms are blamed on spasms, poor back muscle tone, muscle tension, ligaments, and problems in the joint. The good news is that there is a safer, more natural approach to healing your back, it's Chiropractic care.

What Is Chiropractic?

Doctors of Chiropractic medicine adjust the spine with gentle thrusts to move vertebrae to their normal positions. Chiropractors can also adjust the joints of the arms, neck, and the legs. Chiropractic can treat not only back and neck pain, but can also serve as treatment for other ailments such as headaches, PMS, allergies, arthritis, stress, fatigue, skin conditions, asthma/allergies and much more. Other common treatments include sports injuries, auto accident injuries, infertility, menopause, and pregnancy care.

What Happens during a Chiropractic Examination?

The chiropractor will review your medical history and conduct physical, neurological, and orthopedic examinations. Chiropractic physicians often focus on examining the spine, assessing posture and testing your muscle strength, joint motion, and reflexes. Diagnostic images and X-rays are used to locate vertebral dysfunction and to rule out some disorders like fractures and tumors, which require the attention of other healthcare experts.

What Training do Chiropractors have?

Chiropractors are licensed in all states including the District of Columbia. Students take a meticulous course of study necessary to receive a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree. According to Chiropractic Truth, there are over 60,000 D.C.s in practice in the United States. All state licensing boards require two to four years of undergraduate education, and completion of a four-year chiropractic college course.
In the state of Michigan, Chiropractors are also required to pass parts I, II, III, & IV of National Boards.
